Designed by GEL Architects, Enfield occupies a commanding position on a city-fringe corner site.  

With no direct neighbours, the seven-level structure is a dynamic architectural statement rising up from its own urban island. The development, which already has resource consent, contains a mix of one, one plus study, two and three bedroom units including three stunning penthouses.

exterior

Enfield responds to the energy of this former warehouse district with an aesthetic that infuses sympathetic residential design with an industrial edge. The robust monochromatic palette of black steelwork, raw concrete and metallic cladding is softened by warm timber detailing around the balconies and bronze louvres that demarcate the core.
The building sits on a podium of dark pre-cast concrete that wraps around basement parking. An on-site café at street level integrates the building to its neighbourhood. 

On the apartment levels, the architecture displays strong verticality with bands of glazing and metallic cladding with a faceted design. The entire building is acoustically glazed with a higher rating on the northern façade. The penthouse level is stepped back from the main façade to provide large terraces and an elegant cap to the building form.

Interiors

The apartments at Enfield have clean, modern interiors of timber floors and white walls that will appeal to trend-conscious residents.
With a corner site, privacy and ample light are assured. Large windows flood each room with light, while the open-plan footprint with ‘L’ or ‘U’-shaped kitchens maximises living space.
